Assortment cuts that protect velocity

Slow movers occupy facings that faster items could use. Cutting them only helps if demand for the remaining set can absorb the space—and if shoppers are not loyal to the delisted pack.

We sort SKUs by contribution to category volume and by consistency across weeks, not by a single month of poor sales during a stock-out.

Before recommending a cut, check whether the item is required by a key retailer assortment agreement. Commercial constraints belong in the brief beside the velocity numbers.

The goal is a tighter shelf that sells through cleanly, not a shorter list for its own sake.
